About the pattern
The sweater is worked top down. The yoke is worked following the chart and then divided into body and sleeves. The sleeve stitches are put on hold on a stitch holder while the body is worked until it reaches the stated or desired length. Next, the sleeve stitches are put back on the needle and worked until the stated or desired length. Stitches are picked up for the neckline which is worked in twisted rib stitch. All other ribbings on the sweater are also worked in twisted rib stitch.
Details about the design
The Kristtjørn Christmas Sweater is worked top down with short rows below the twigs (chart) to shape the neck opening. This creates a beautiful, even shape around the neck ribbing. The sweater has a slightly boxy fit with wide sleeves without decreases. The berries on the yoke are embroidered onto the sweater once finished. You decide the placement of the berries yourself. Therefore, this is not described in the pattern.
